MINI LESSON

Difference of Perfect Squares

A difference of perfect squares has the form \(a^2 - b^2\).

It factors as \((a-b)(a+b)\).

Look for terms that are both perfect squares and separated by subtraction.

This pattern is useful for factoring expressions quickly.
